Originally designed for her unique hand painted name paintings and personalised gifts business, it soon became clear that these busy little animals were capturing children’s imagination and beginning to take on a life of their own.
Mary-Louise found it easy to enter into this enchanted world as she set about building up a story behind each of the characters and the bustling rural community in which they lived - the village of 'Alphabetville'.
